Zodwa MBELE

Zodwa MBELE is a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) and holds the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). She has extensive executive experience in financial management, treasury management, and infrastructure development and financing across various sectors.

In her tenure at DBSA, Zodwa MBELE served as Group Executive: Transacting from 2017 to 2023. Previously, she also served as Executive for Project Finance and Treasury at the Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) and briefly as acting Chief Risk Officer. Additionally, she served as the CFO of Total Utilities Management Services Pty Ltd and Alexkor SOC Limited (including as an Executive Director). She also serves as a Board Committee member of Vodacom Insurance Companies. She also chairs an Investment Committee of Stanlib Infrastructure Fund.

Zodwa MBELE holds a qualification in Baccalaureus Pedagogics from the University of Zululand and a Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours from the University of South Africa. She obtained her Certificate in International Treasury Management ACT (UK) and attended the Advanced Management Program (Harvard Business School), the Executive Development Program (Stellenbosch Business School), and the Management Advanced Program (Wits Business School).
