Overview
Brahim Benjelloun-Touimi has a PhD in Money, finance and banking from Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. He has been Chief Executive Officer of BMCE Bank Group since 2010 and Chairman of Bank of Africa group since 2015. He began his career in France working on the financial markets. After joining BMCE Bank in 1990, he set up subsidiaries specialised in stock market intermediation and asset management. He created the first mutual fund on Casablanca Stock Exchange. Brahim Benjelloun-Touimi is permanent representative of BMCE on the Board of Directors of Proparco and a member of various governance bodies. For example, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eurafric Information, a tech joint venture. In the not-for-profit sector, he is a director of the BMCE Bank Foundation and other NGOs with educational aims. He is also a director of the Stock Exchange of Casablanca.
