Christine Zhen-Wei Qiang is a lead economist at the Policy Division of the Global ICT Department of the World Bank Group. She manages the Information and Communications for Development flagship reports. Her main responsibilities include overseeing the World Bank’s analytical work on ICT policies, economics, and impact analysis, as well as leading ICT operations and policy dialog in countries in Asia. She has published over 20 journal articles, book chapters, and reports on ICT and development, economic growth, and productivity. She holds a PhD in Economics and a M.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
